Alright well I picked up my gtst from a body shop today after they installed a new bumper and headlights from an icbc claim. Super stoked on how it turned out, but, as I was driving home about 20 seconds after i pulled out of the shops parking lot my car suddenly decides to die on me in one of the busiest intersections in Burnaby. The tach was jumping from 1,000 to 4,000 and then the car would stall. It started up fine but as soon as you touch the gas it would die. SO here I am stuck at a green light holding up traffic..I jump out of the car and pop the hood and notice that the J pipe is COMPLETELY disconnected from inter cooler piping.
I tightened up the coupler with my trusty house key and was on my way. I know for a fact that it was the shops fault because I always make sure the pipe clamps are tight, this one was loose as a goose! The shop will remain anonymous because I'm happy with the bodywork, but god damn learn how to treat a skyline. haha just thought I would share the story.
