Not necessarily, lots of my friends drive Honda's and work jobs that pay a lot more than mine. They choose to drive them because they enjoy them and the cheap repair costs.

My 91 civic dx cost $400 more for insurance than my 93' 240sx LE with aftermarket I/H/E and clutch
