Doing things right is never cheap, and doing things cheap is never right...
If NISMO stands for Nissan Motorsports, does HOMO stand for Honda Motorsports?

Ya, I have had ALOT of people in the four door sedans trying to antagonize me into street racing and such lately too. Then there seems to be the constant civics, preludes, integras, and precidias that I guess are trying to convince me that their car is better! But hey its your car, its good they believe that, but it would be nice if they would stop trying to street race me. Just my opinion as I am against it. Still have yet to go through a road block or get pulled over though.
A work in progress!

At kal-tire, one of the mechanics told me i could hook my car up to a computer and get 1000hp out of it, i just acted dumb and pretented to believe him, sometimes its just easier like that. The attention was fun for a bit, but now its anoyying getting gas and have people tell me stuff about my car. Now when people ask me about my steering wheel, i make up lies and see if they believe me, like i got in a bad accident and the cheapest way to fix it was putting the steering wheel on the other side.

The other day i was waiting for my girlfriend at the C-Train station here in Calgary. I was just chillin in the parking lot for about 5 min. I was watching the stairs to see when my lady would be coming down. when all of a sudden these two chouchy high school kids were pointing at me. one of them circled all the way to the back of my car and the other to the front. They were trying to find my car, one kid was one the phone with the other and was like " Dude its over here." At this point they dident see me in the car either. So they walked around the car and the funniest thing that one of the kids said was" Yo MAN!!! There must be NOS in there, That thing must have like 500 hp!!" and the other kid goes " THATS MAD TIGHT!!"
I just about died laughing, and then the kids walked around the front of the car and noticed me pissin myself laughing. They walked away in a hurry when they seen me!!!

in the last week its become really bad for me..
I had one kid nearly rearend a school bus up here in newmarket trying to take a picture of the car on his cell phone..
I also had a kid in an mx6 follow me all the way from the highway to my store ( thats a 15 minute drive)
The best part was when he got out of the car.. he was wearing a black suit, with a pink polkadot tie, light blue air jordans, and skeleton bone haloween costume gloves!~
WTF.

How about the opposite...educated GT-R enthusiasts approaching other GT-R owners.
I approached a Blue one here in Calgary with an East Indian owner...
...Our conversation was going well...him telling me how he planned to race it and was modding it to 600HP...and then I spotted his auto transmission...
...there went that convo.
I love GT-R's...sometimes I'm very sceptical about their owners though.
Near Stock GT-R's are not as fast as most their owners believe them to be.

I cant even count all the dumb comments I have gotten from people about my car. and ya it is usually easier just to go along with whatever someone is saying hen to explain anything. The past few days though i have had an 8yr old come up and ask me if my car was a skyline and talk to me about it, and even a 5yr old asked me yesterday. Those two kids made my day though. But then there are the tons of people trying to get me to do burnouts and street race them.... i just ignore them. Recently I have also had a lot of people 30+ asking me about the car saying they saw articles on rhd cars on tv and such. If someone wants to have an actual conversation i'm usually for it, just depends on time. Cops dont seem like rhd sports cars in Nanaimo though, tons of bad experiences in that direction.... no tickets though, just a vi for making a right turn too slowly!

When I was at the Walmart by the Prime Outlet mall in Seattle, I was coming out and about to load my stuff up when I saw several people around my car gocking at it. They were pretty nice folk. They asked me about it and everything and I was trying to answer them as best I can about my car specfically.
See, the thing is I learned that every Skyline is different. I am an expert with "my" R32 specfically as I've looked thru it stem to stern. However, if you want info on another R32, aside from the stock specs, ask the other guy. One has 200hp, the other one clocks at about Eleventy billion HP and can transcend the speed of light and travel back and forth in time.E-HR32 1990 Nissan Skyline GTS

Ahaha you guys are too funny...
I don't mind the attention, I had one guy lean out the side of his bronco while his friend took the steering wheel and was like "WOOOO SKYLINE!!! **** YEAHH!!!!!!" Oh man was I embarrassed....
I've had some negative reactions as well, this guy in an eclipse that was just bought was like giving me the thumbs down...My friend and I just laughed as his car was so riced out with no go...
Best one yet was the minivan full of hotties and one fat chick driving staring me down on the highway... they were like turning around looking out the back window and then as I'm going by. lol

lol i find the reactions funny as hell ... hated it for a long time .. but now its just funny and this being a small place with not many out of the norm imports it happens just about every day.. i was just saying last night to one of my buddys that i wondered how many people have a picture of my car on their cell phones .. this was just after some kid came up and asked if the picture in his phone was my car lol and it was a picture of two girls on the hood of my car at a car show last summer :P..
but one quote i hate though is "hey your driving on the wrong side!! where did you get that car england ?"

Ya I always get the "your driving on the wrong side!", it is anoying but i just always answer "actually im on the right side" and everyone gets a bit of a laugh. the cell phone thing is annoying though, i have even had people block traffic on a couple of occasions, but I have a loud horn. Thanks for liking my car but concentrate on your driving.

I get old englishmen walking up to me all the time. It happened at the carwash the other day, when I said it was from Japan he looked kind of sick, then he just walked away! Thats my best one so far. Although I do get the ricers trying to race me all the time, a civic hatch did a fly by on me right into a speed trap a couple of weeks ago. That made my day better. My Garage Sale -
