  • Reactions from people seeing your car?

What kind of reactions have you guys gotten from people when they see your car? I had my car on the driveway yesterday as my brother and I were doing an exhaust install on the 355 (ferrari's are damn hard to work on!). Several people slammed on their brakes when they saw the car. One guy pulled into my driveway asked if I would be selling it (3rd time i've been asked if I want to sell).

    Anyone have any interesting stories?

    Best one actually happened yesterday

I was in a parking lot and some lady beside me noticed the car and she goes
"wow so does that mean you have to drive on the other side of the road?"

    ummm ya....

Also the guy at my parking garage always says
(in a jamican accent) "hey! is that and ENGLAND car?!" Hes cool **** though
If you still have complete control of your car you are not going fast enough!

i fuckin hate it!!! i always get screwed out of hitting my exit on the highway cause there's always some jackass beside me trying to get my attention to give me the thumbs up. whenever i slow down, so do they, i speed up, they match it. it was cool for like a day

i dont like the attention either... the people who stare are the worst though. you know they're looking and i usually look over to shoot the winning smile, but they keep bloody staring... knock it off!

the worst was some old guy who yelled out of his window at me "WHY THE F*** WOULD YOU DO THAT TO YOUR CAR?!?!" and sped off... at which point i was thinking he assumed the RHD was a modification.

one of the first things I'm to do this spring, darker tint. but due to the tightening of laws, i may have to settle for a full face helmet... or maybe some nice sunglasses. just something so i can pretend that i dont see the gaukers and can ignore them easier. it seems pretty harsh but i'm not one for attention.

Attention - HATE IT. Keep the windows up, crank the tunes and just look straight when I'm stopped.

"Are you allowed to drive that here?"

and the staring.. had a delivery guy block the left lane on the highway cuz he kept passing me then slowing down to check my car.. he kept it up until he had 2 guys horning at him

most people just take a second look and still don't understand so that's cool, worst stare was this girl in an S2000 who looked and kept looking and when they passed me she un-belted herself and was on her knees looking in the back

have to say tough, the worst was this kid, that came into my work asking who's car that was.. then he kept bringing new friends to check the parked car, I was like.. rent a school bus and bring them all at the same time instead of bringing them in in groups of 1-2 :P

The attention sucks. Anyone who bought a skyline for the attention definately did so for the wrong reasons.

I was driving through Toronto Chinatown bordering on a Korean neighborhood on Dundas West.

I has an Asian guy maybe 35ish stop on the sidewalk stop in his tracks, open his jaw, point at the Skyline as its going by (he was by himself LOL) and then proceded to run after me down the street waving a camera phone. I sh!t u not, this guy chased me for a solid block...I shoulda stopped but it was too funny watching him jog behind me while inhaling the foul fumes of this car.

The attention is cool as long as some clowns don't try and tell me what they "know" about Skylines...that just gets awkward. Oh and trying to cut me off and phantom brake to get a race or open it up = not cool.

Happened this afternoon on the way to a meeting.

I'm pulling up to a light and I ride right next to a cyclist. Older guy. He looks over and notices me on the other side then I look over and see him and he says something. This prompted me to open the window:

                        Him: Your car is backwards.
                        Me: How do you figure?
Him: You're driving on the other side of the car.

I pause, look over the wheel and the passenger side.

Me: Well, how the hell did that happen? *Looking stupidly and confused*
Him: *laughing* Beautiful car. What kind is it?
Me: Nissan Skyline, straight out of Japan. They never made em out here so I had to import mine.
                        Him: very nice car!

Then drove off. Nice old guy and everything. He definately has tastes.

The bad sides are idiots in ricer cars racing right up next to me or behind me and gocking at me and the car. Some idiot in an MR2 tried to race me the other night, highbeaming to outright tailgating and wouldn't leave me alone. I pulled into the slow lane and he kept trying his garbage. Finally pulled right over, grabbed my steering wheel club and opened the door, got right out and he just drove off.

It's like, hard to fathom that a Skyline driver doesn't go past 60 on city streets or something.

baha, i forgot about this. apparently my gts-t comes stock with 400hp and not the 212 that nissan speaks. And the GTR, wow, that's a whole different story, 700hp out of the factory door was what came with those dont cha know?

Got blocked in on the road by some guy in his minivan with his kids in the
bak of the van so he could yell at me infront of my 8 year old son that I was wacked for letting an 8 year old drive a car on the road........
Now this was the first time anythings happened so I was speechless about how much of an idiot this guy was.
So just pointed at my steering wheel and his kids started laughing at him...
I drove away while he was trying to appologize :? :?

Guy behind me in a Prelude with his girlfriend. Realises whats in front of him a just starts freaking out, very animated, laughing, pointing, looks like he is screaming with joy as he tries to tell his girlfriend what my car is. She looking at him like "what the f#*k are you going on about".....this was at a stop light, so no need to worry about my safety.

Followed into parking lots a few times. So tired of "hey your on the wrong side" to which I reply "no, I'm on the right side, there is no wrongside of a car, just left or right and I'm on the rightside.......dumb a$$...don't you look at me that way...you wanna piece of me.....I'll pull over and drag your wifes a$$ out the car and beat her senseless, I don't care if she is 80 years old....don't you be waving that cane at me...".....something like that.....
