Gold work xd9 18*10 STOLLEN IN COQUITLAM!!

Went to check on my car today as my technician had to leave it outside. To my surprise it was sitting on its rotors on the concrete!!! They were stollen from port coquitlam.

If anyone has any leads or anything please let me no. This is VERY upsetting.

Gold work xd9's 18*10 falkon 235/40 front, 260/35 or somthing hankook rear. 3inch lip

Still don't no what kinda damage has been done from them leaving it on the rotors with rocks under the side skirts. There's no motor in it so it's alot lighter in the front end. They coulda atleast put tires under it, since there are tires right beside it!

Unbelievable, sorry to hear about this...

On a positive note, I'm really glad to hear you still have your car...most of these horror stories end with the car missing, chopped up and sold for parts. Hopefully there isn't too much damage done to the car and your mechanic makes up your loss since the car was with him when this happened.

Ouch! Sorry to hear dude. I'm an auto tech and shudder at stories like this. Normally I always pull my customers cars into the shop at night for that very reason, especially Skylines and any other desirable car. I really hope some good comes out of this and like mentioned above at least you still have the car.

I am sorry for the loss but the shop has to pay you for the theft because they are responsible for your property while it is in their possession!

Aw, thats rough bro. I can't believe people are such dicks. I mean how can someone love cars and do that to a fellow enthusiest? Keep your eyes on the kijiji / craigslist and hope it comes up.

Maybe it was the shop owner that took them and said they were stolen from the lot! I Know first hand that sometimes it is a person you know that is ripping you off !

Dude!! sorry to hear about your wheels as big as the city is, it is just as small. And its just a matter of time until the truth comes out somewhere. Hopefully the cameras will help if not I am sure you can come to a reasonable solution.. If they don't turn up the question is was the car inside or outside? Obviously if the car was inside the shops insurance would cover it if its outside your insurance should cover it, correct? All in all leaving a car like that for any length of time is a gamble. I will note that anyone who just flat out accuses that the MECHANIC stole them should do a little research before offending one of Canada's top skyline specialists only have the spot light shine on you for making such a bold remark! Its not usually the mechanic that runs out of money its the customer!

The city can be big of small it doesn't really matter. The long and short of it and I hate to be blunt is that he is now out a set of rims/rubber. Rims do not have a vin or any form of info showing the designated owner. Should the owner of the shop be responsible for this, definitely. When leaving a car at a shop the person who is left with the keys is the person that takes ownership for what happens to the vehicle. I doubt the mechanic stole them though.

If I was a mechanic that did not get paid I would not take his wheels! I would take his whole car and put it away till I was paid! If not paid in 90 days I would sell his car to re-coupe parts labor and storage! Yes this is legal here!

Hmm. Wonder why the yard wasn't locked! I'd probably try to go after then shop/tech for dmg and theft costs, they have insurance for that no?
