I would suggest this is a little biased , I think people are judged by their actions and attitude more than anything else , don't think your colour has much to do with it . Without going into a whole debate about racial treatments etc ( which i could delve right into if it was relevant but isn't in thei thread ) , i would suggest that this thread has served it's purpose and should be locked by a Mod before anymore dung flinging takes place ...

From this story the actions of the officer seem very much out of line. In situations such as this there are proper avenues to take to achieve justice. I hope that you will follow up and see that this officer is properly dealt with.
That said, that cat looks like a test pipe from the exterior. If the officer was basing his judgement on the exterior view of this cat, then it's very much understandable why he came to that conclusion.
While you may feel that you have been wronged due to race, I would not immediately jump to that conclusion. Everyone with modified cars has to deal with over zealous officers, regardless of race.
If you expect people to be more sympathetic with you in the future I would suggest a less confrontational attitude.
