  • Passing a wire into trunk from interior? How? (r32 GTR)

What's the easiest and simplest way to get a wire through to the trunk from the interior?
It's been no bother from engine bay to interior, just struggling to see a route to the trunk?

Haven't really messed around with the back seats since I've owned the car, did these need to come out? I can't seem to see an easy way through?

    Ideas/pics?

Seats have to come out for best access. Pull up on the lower section first, they may be trickey but they do come out. Then unbolt the upper section, the bolts will be revealed when the lower portion is removed. Last, lift up on the upper portion to unhook it from the parcel shelf and remove it.

The lower part is a pain in the a*s to remove: the 2 bottom clips don't want to unclip...! it sucks the way its been made... You can take off the upper part without taking the lower off...

        Thanks for heads up folks.
Took a while to figure out the lower section, but soon as I wedged a small breaker bar under there I simply levered it up!
(not amount of me tugging on those hooks would budge it!)

Things were made even more awkward as the car has a rear hks cage! So getting the upper and lower section past these was also a nightmare.

        Thanks!

I simply ran the wire underneath the rocker panel cover, tucked under the carpet, under the back seat, and through a hole in the rear firewall.

I get how you'd want to do it, it's how to on a r32 GTR!

I wernt expecting a strip down for a single wire is all :-)

Like other people said, taking out the back seat is the best way. I ran my sub/amp wiring through/under my backseat.

I meant literally like any other car. I ran 6 wires and a water meth line from the front. All under the carpet (sleeved), under the seat and through the firewall holes.

I just slipped mine through a hole at the bottom of the trunk along the fender well area. If u push it through from the trunk in that little pocket at the bottom u can shove your hand Under the backrest from inside the car and grab the wire and pull it through Worked on my 95 gtst for my stereo. I hit 156db this summer. Woooo!
