And, again, if you want perfect, you pay for it. If you are not so picky, they are under $20k. However there are far less 34s than there were 32s that weren't looked after very well. The trump of all is if the previous owner had very bad luck, the car will go off shore, no-one in Japan will want it. Strange but true.

A decent BNR34 will be around $35,000-$50,000 landed. I've seen some cheaper ones here and there, but I wouldn't go near them with a 10 foot pole. Under $20K landed is going to get you a pile of nails.

How sticky is the bank about giving out loans for 15 year old jdm's?

I've been eyeing up evo x's, but for another couple thousand a bnr34 would be pretty darn awesome.

Lol, I don't think that's even worth trying although I could be wrong.

That bank doenst have to know what your spending the money on. A personal loan can be used for what ever you want. My bank approved me for 20k to buy my r33

I believe the car has to be under a certain amount of years in order to be eligible (Example would be that the car can not be over 5 years old).

Your best bet would be a personal loan, or a low interest line of credit if you own a home.

Most banks wont give you loans on 15+ year old jdm cars for good reason! If you want to own a gtr or a skyline or any old boosted car that has probably been beat on and will continue to be beat on then you should be able to afford one. It would really suck to pull out a line of credit for 40k for a bnr34 and then have the engine spin a bearing a couple months down the road. Now you owe the bank 40k and you cant afford a rebuild. IMHO these cars are toys and should be treated as such financially.

skylines and loans dont mix lol for me anyway its a hobby car and i only buy parts when i have extra cash no need to be paying interest on a Toy. Id only buy a r34 if i had 40g cash sitting there but id rather do up my r32 lol each to there own.

Well said, pretty much you have to be able to pay to play. Especially when we are talking about a 15 year old car, and a average cost of $40K (for a nice one).

Interesting. I was asking because I don't know, hah. Never had a vehicle loan. Don't even have a credit card.
I daily drive my bnr32, so a loan on it would have made a bit of sense since it isn't just my "toy" car.
But then again, I'm young enough I don't really have to worry about much fianancial responsibility like a house, etc. A couple year loan on a bnr34 at this point vs something like a new evo, not much difference from what I can see.

I agree i love my r32 and will never sell it. But a bank loan and a skyline shouldnt even be in the same sentence.

Car loans in general is an invitation for ass rapeage (my submission for quote of 2013 ). High interest, a lot of restrictions and they have to see the appraisals etc. Forgetaboutit.

Much easier to secure a low interest line of credit or one of those LOC Visa cards with low interest. This is harder for you younger guys to get but it exists.

Oakville, this is the only BNR34 I was able to snap a pic of. Beautiful cars. I would love one, but needs and circumstances right now is pointing me back to a 32
