So I have been in contact with a guy with a nismo gtr for sale.

What's a legit nismo vin number?

He tells me it bnr32-212500

Genuine Nismo GTR's usually have a build plate (on top of radiator support or firewall) that's separate to blue ID plate and should have documentation to back that up (in rare cases with some N1 R32 GTR they don't have either).

Nismo R32 GTR has lack of rear wiper (N1 rear window doesn't have a hole in window for rear wiper), Group-A style body kit, no ABS, Nismo turbo's.

I thought Nismo VINS were BNR32-100xxx (001-560?)

My VIN is similar to the one above, BNR32-216xxx , mine is a normal late 1992 GTR.

I don't think she's a Nismo man....


EDIT* - Only came in KH2 Gunmetal also, so if it's another colour it's been resprayed, or it's not a nismo. Go by the VIN though.

The VIN must have a 1, as in BNR32-100xxx like mentioned above. That's 100% certain.

yeah as stated already that doesn't fall in the nismo chassis numbers.

It's the right color, body looks right. It does have a rear wiper.

He's asking 8000 with 1 burnt turbo

As said before, legit Nismo editions have VINs ending with 100XXX. Mine is BNR32-100181.

Only made in 1990, only came in KH2 gunmetal grey. No ABS, trunk liner or rear wiper. Body differences are the N1 bumper vents ( standard after 92, not previously), Nismo side skirts, nismo hood lip, and nismo trunk lip. Not sure about the turbos as Skym mentioned, and apparently the interior is slightly different but I can't see it.

It could be a true nismo even with comfort features. However the VIN is the true tale.
