Hi all. Not sure who is still around here, I had an 89 GTS-T years ago when they first came out here in Ontario. Used importconcern back in the day and was very pleased. Loved the car, spent a lot of time with it but ended up selling it and going to Germany for a while, the 'Ring was calling

These days I have a track prepped gutted 350Z and have had other cars over the years. Toying with the idea of getting an R34 GTR next year as clearly I have forgotten how annoying it was driving RHD!

Anyway, I've noticed a lot of the companies have become pretty quiet. IC, terra2, etc. I know Quebec or something banned import cars but hows the rest of the couny (ie Ontario, Alberta, BC)? Is the F&F fad died down and people dont want ragged 15 year old RX7s and 240s anymore and just sales are down? I dont see a lot of RHD cars anymore, although Im not in the scene as much.

Is there any new issues I am going to run into? I prefer to use a broker to buy the car at auction for me again, I was really happy with my transaction last time and would love to do the same. Only issue I remember was I had to change insurance companies due to the VIN but no big deal.

    Thanks
If you still have complete control of your car you are not going fast enough!

The biggest question is, where do you plan to live? BC is by far the easiest place to live the JDM life with, by the sounds of it, Ont. being the worst. Options are more than plentifull with regards to importers and exporters with a wide range of markups/qualities. Spend some time on here and poke around for a while, this place has grown a hell of a lot since you left.....

      and welcome back.

      Jon.
Why don't you come over to MySpace and Twitter my Yahoo untill I Google all over your Facebook.

      1990 GTR Drag Special T88H34D 11.24 @ 127.55mph at only 1.2bar...... officially. SOLD

Things have become way more transparent with importing..

lots of good info here.. and on jdmvip.com.

as jon said.. BC is prolly the easiest place to register/insure a skyline these days.

Welcome back. Ont is easy to own a rhd as long as you qualify for something like Haggerty collectors insurance. Adam at Feast is still a good source if you want to go the auction route, or the guys at Right Drive in Vaughan.

Alberta is still going strong with the JDM scene. Seeing lots of Subies running around now. See the odd r33, and rarely see r32's. Insurance wasn't an issue, although I've insured 2 other Skylines with the same company.
