A note, I would probably stay away from Hokkaido. Not because it's near water, but because of the fact that up there, the salinity level of the air is higher than most places.

That story about the truck sucks though, I don't think that's right especially in your case. When you get married, technically your family becomes the spouse's and hers becomes yours.
