We having a nice weather here in Calgary at the moment, and I been itching to paint my wheels. I got it all primed, but not painted yet, I know that painting in cold weather is a no no, but considering its going to +15 outside tomorrow I am hoping to finish this up. What you guys think? yes ? or no? I know its my decision at the end, but I could use some second opinion

If you want to paint at +15c make sure your wheels are warm first so store them indoor like in the kitchen over night or a day. Build yourself a warmer box to put the wheels in after painting to keep warm and aid drying. I use a big cardboard box with a cut out for a small heater or a halogen work light as a heat source as a warmer box. I would keep the painted items warm for at least 1/2 hour before I turn off the heat then transfer them indoor, by then the smell of the paint should be bearable. Keep an eye on the heater/light until you turn it off.

WOW !!! big turn of a event, I went outside for a smoke after I posted this. I notice that my car was on a angle and I saw that dirt gave out causing the jacks to gave out as well, the car does not tires on as I remove them as planned intended to get them painted. the car almost sat on the rotors well just the front, I can't tell if there is any damage or anything I assume it happened sometime today, I got the car jacked up again after spending 2 hours carefully jacking the car up. You guys can punch me for doing that to my car, its was all my faultOriginally posted by Bossman View PostIf you want to paint at +15c make sure your wheels are warm first so store them indoor like in the kitchen over night or a day.
