I bought consult cable to diagnose fault codes on my car and deleting them, I am curious to see what are the best software out there to download free or with download fee..

eBay has a cable and software on cd for $90 or so. Worked pretty good on my laptop untill I bought the Autel

What's this autel you speak of? Was also looking at the ebay stuff, car is running ok but burns gas real bad...300km to a tank

Autel tech maxidas ds 708 is a pro scan tool I use at the shop. Just get a cable and cd from e bay they are affordable and easy to use. As far as mpg goes try using 94 vs 91

Haltech has some darn good software I hear. It's expensive (like in the 2k range but cones with a free écu.

All standalone fuel management systems come with their own diag software afaik

Duh I kinda forgot you're up that far. Did you do all your maintenance stuff yet ? Plugs, fuel filter, air filter ? Try a can of Seafoam and follow directions on the can just for maintenance sake .
