    service manual says:

    at 300rpm

    171psi is standard
    128psi is the limit
    14psi variance across all cylinders.

From what i've read on the internet 150psi and up is good.

Bear in mind those numbers are for the OEM 8.5:1 compression ratio and OEM cams.

You'll get lower numbers if CR is lower or if there's intake/exhaust cam overlap.

140~ is healthy and most common

and you have to assume you are getting a 300rpm crank speed.

              disabling fuel pump for test

out of curiosity, do you guys take out the fuel pump relay or disable any other circuits when doing a compression test?

I'm actually doing one tomorrow night since I was running no ignition on #4 for a bit where fuel washed the cylinder. Picked up the tool today. Funny this post appeared. I just pull the fuel pump fuse, run the car till it dies a few times and pull all the coils and plugs out a once. Takes me an hour or so to pull everything out and back in.
