  • Electrical Problem?

Hey guys I tried searching but couldnt find any solutions so I made this thread. I had my car at a body shop for repairs. I just got it back and when i went to drive it at night I turn on my headlights but no lights come on in the dash or the heat control. Also my deck doesnt seem to be getting any power. All the lights come on in the dash as to high beams and ebrake and such but the actual in-dash light doesnt come on and i can read any of my meters. Suggestions?

    as much as it sucks!

youll need to get the cluster out of the dash and check all connections, and bulbs are not burnt out. If this is all good then start looking into a bad ground somewhere.

I would check through your fuses before pulling the cluster, but if your fuses are good pull the cluster, I bet it has more to do with your deck

        with that being said....^

how are your park lights? are they dead?
if so......it's the headunits ground wire, which you probably hooked up to the orange wire (antenae wire i believe). This orange wire will show up as a ground, but is not.

make sure to ground the headunit at the chassis only and power the unit from a +12VDC

its the ground off the deck, get it off the wire you connected it too and put it on a direct metal part of the chasssis instead.
