  • Garret TA5102 AR 72 Turbo

    I have found a big Garret turbo at work just curious of the value and or usage on a GTR...

    Specs:

    Code: SB
    Model: TA5102
    SN: EC0080303129
    Cust PN: 9000470509

    Let me know if anyone has more info on this sweet new unit.

      lol 12L Volvo engine nice... strap that on a RB30 and pin it!

      Yeah just doing returns at the shop here thought id see what this turbo is all about... thanks for the info!

        Turbo sizing has a lot more to it than you would think.

        It is geared towards a 13b, but a 13b flows the same as a RB26 (1.3x2 = 2.6L equivelant)



        A solid fast spooling turbo would either be a GT35r BB with a .84 turbine A/R or a T04E 60 Trim with the same turbine A/R. It would just spool a few hundered RPM slower since it's a bush bearing.

            But it has twice the power strokes as a normal piston engine so it acts like a 2.6 liter. but it is 1.3

              All rotary turbo specs are meant to double its displacement for specs comparable to 4 stroke engines.
              Fast isn't Fast enough
