  • What oil filter's do you use ?

    Hi,

Just wondering wich oil filter every one is using.
And for those who have oil relocation kit, wich oil filter
    do you prefer and why.

I'm wondering because I'm debating using a bigger
single filter, going double oil filter about stockish size
or going double with bigger filters. If your wondering
what I mean by bigger, take a look at a diesel truck
oil filter you'll see what I mean, and for less than
    6$ it's not a bad deal.

I personnaly know for a fact that crappy tire is
changing there motomaster filter line from fram to wix.
And from what I saw, the new filter's are heavier, and
look's to be better flowing then the old one.

Now I know that those new wix filter's are being
built in china, are they usually built there or is this
this something recent. And does this mean that
it will suffer the same faith has pretty mutch all
the stuff coming out of that country. You know
what I mean, like do they even know what
quality control is in that country. lol

P.S. And I think wix also make's filters for napa.

wix has always been a good brand, i dont know where they have been made though

There is no need going to a larger oil filter on an rb or double. Just going to waste space.

if you have a GTR with the filter in the stock location a filter like the K&N that has the nut on the end would be VERY handy.

OEM as well. I should bulk order mine because I just bought a few boxes of oil at Costco that was on sale (Castrol).

I've started using a RYCO Z101 oilfilter with anti drain back valve -

Choose Ryco Filters for the best oil filters, air filters, fuel filters and vehicle products. The leading filter experts in Australia and New Zealand.

Very happy with it so far, as the oil pressure rises quickly when cold starting. The engine also feels different, very loose all the time. That's instead of loose, then taught feeling with the old oilfilter.

where can you buy them, someone on a different forum I read did some datalogging on his Motec and found K&N oil filters increased oil pressure at top end compared to the others tested, oem, mobil one, tested a whole bunch...

I use NAPA gold, which is a Wix, $7 can't go wrong. although i want to buy an Amsoil EAO filter, i'm under the impression that they are the best.
