This is a pretty straight forward job. I wouldn't say it's 30 mins, but it's pretty simple. I'm pretty sure I used a mini socket wrench, something that all DIY's should have.

Okay . 4 hours later. Job is still not done. So I'm down to a 6 hours spent and still not done...

How do you insert the gearbox cable end STRAIGHT??? I spent the last hour trying to bolt it but it will always go too much to the right, too low, too high. It just wont ****in go straight and fit so I can bolt it.

I did insert the metal piece in the hole of the gear box but I just can't bolt the bolt on the gearbox because it is misaligned..

Please Help serioulsy. I'm really about to sell my gtr because of that freakin stupid 70$ mods.

I just slid the end of the speedo cable into the tranny and screwed the collar over top, I'm not sure why its giving you so much hassle. You can turn the end of the cable to line up with the drive in the gearbox. I wish you lived closer I'd come give you a hand because I can tell its really getting you frustrated. If the gearbox end is giving you problems you could always try installing that first and then putting the other end through the firewall.

Just to make sure, My problem is that I can't screw the collar because it wont sit straight. At the end, I called my girlfriend so she could hold the cable so it would fit straight so i could screw the bolt. NOT! still wont screw.

But I have no trouble fitting the small metal piece into the gearbox. my problem is a stupid bolt!:hit newb:

Didn't last very long... I drove 15 min to see my girlfriend and after a '' bump'' ALL my needle went down to zero. Also, my window switch doesn't work, i can't lower my windows.

I wish someone from Quebec could help me out because i'm very despaired!:hit_head:
