  • My brake light bulb keep blowing..

My left brake ligh bulb keep blowing. I change the bulb 3 times this year.

Problem: 1) I wired my 6 led third brake light to the left tail light( ground and pos.) 2) I wired something like 40 LED ( ICE sound system) and my side marker light to the same ground and the second positive)

Solution: Since I have 2 different + but only one ground. Could it be my ground that have too much ''sh*t'' on it?

Should I wire my third brake light on the body?

if i were doing what ur doing.. i wouldnt tap into other wires.

im a firm believer in not messing with whats already there.
so IMHO .... IF you need another Positive cable.. run a new cable from the battery and don't forget to fuse it.
for ground.. just use a chassis point to ground.

stop messing around with the OEM wiring, it gets you nothing but headaches with all the old grounds and cracking wires.

    good luck.

I would agree, if you need a constant I would run it from battery (fused not more then 24" from it) or I would get it from the main ignition constant. then you don't have to run through the firewall
That bolt came from where using what?!?

Whoops also forgot to mention , make sure that if you are grounding everything to same location. Scrape off a clean ground. Bare metal is the best and use a lockwasher between the raw metal and the ring terminals. This should rid any excess resistance.

Okay. So I just did it. I took the power wire from the illumination of the cig. ligther. and ground it in the trunk under the plastic trim.

I hope it will fix my problem!

          Thank
