Need a transmission: Used,rebuilt, brand new?

IMHO... in montreal, we have a ton of JDM shops that not only have Gearboxes IN STOCK.. but will ALL do the same deal you described above.
heres a list of them. this is my personal list.. i frequent those shops quite regularily when i need something... and i usually find it... be kind to them and make good relationships!

stop farting around... being in montreal means you have access to a LOT of parts! for good prices... go to the shop and get the guys there to do the swap for $1000 for you, its by far the BEST option... who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and unknowingly swap in a gear box with uprated internals already!

If the guy see that my gearbox is in bad condition and don't even deserve a rebuilt. I will go buy a rb26 tranny in a jdm shop and take it to the transmission shop I found.

I just have a little trouble with warrenty with jdmshop. Don't BS me. they are shady in their own ways.

hahah i wouldnt even pretend for a second that they are legit people! lol,... well i mean they CAN be legit.. but the can turn on you in a split second and start feeding you lies like crazy!

I got my estimation yesterday:

1) the little spring break that put the gear in reverse. This 25$ piece was my problem.
2) synchro on 2nd and 3nd are bad. The rest is good he said there's no need to change the other.
3) He,s changing the big bearing that goes on the input shaft ( just in case)
4) and there was something else, just in case, but I can't remember..
5) refacing my flywheel

Now, I have to choose. a nice single plate for good daily-driving or a 6 puck( but he told me that it's not a fun clutch to drive on street)
