The same risks as building your own oil cooler vs buying one that has R&D and all the fun stuff. I'd go with 10AN but if cost is an issue, 8AN will be fine for what you want.Black 1991 GTR. Serious garage stand mantle/parts car.

cost isnt a factor. ive already got a bunch of braided -8 line left over, so if the extra 1/8" isnt going to be an issue, then ill stick with what ive got. if that extra 1'8th makes a difference, then ill get the -10 lines.
id like to know if i will run into any pressure or volume issues running -8 lines since most kits run -10 lineswhats going to power my skyline come spring?

It's not hard to make your own oilcooler kit.
The -8 might be for gearbox or differential oilcooler.
Oilcooler core is matched to hp your engine produces and oilpump pressure. If you know those 2 pieces of info, then match the oilcooler core to suit on chart (provided by oilcooler manufacturer), which the oilcooler core selected gives you the appropriate hose size, fitting size, for both sandwich plate and oilcooler core.
Only manufacturer that I know of that shares this info / chart to the public is Setrab. So is the only manufacturer I would use as far as oilcooler cores go when making a custom kit.
This hp / pump / partnumber info is on page 2 of this PDF on Setrab USA website -
Select oilcooler core to suit application from chart in link above.
There's a chart floating around on internet somewhere that mentions oilpump pressure at top of one of the columns. Or can call Setrab USA and ask.RESPONSE MONSTER
