  • Greddy Suction Kit Help

Could someone please help me quickly ?

What are the ONLY differences between the STANDARD AFM Kit and the Z32 AFM Kit ?

    - Z32 MAF Wire Pigtails
    - Straight 80mm Z32 AFM Pipe Collars, VS. 80mm-to-70mm reducer for Standard AFM.
    - AFM-to-Filter Adapters.

Is that it ? Are all the pipes (65mm, 80mm) and Collars (except for 2, either 80/80mm or 80/70mm for intake pipe to AFM) exactly the same ?

I am throwing the filter pods in the garbage as well as the filter/afm adapters and am going to run MAP/D-Jetro w/aftermarket Dry Filter Pods (Apexi etc).

I am also replacing all the collars (in BLACK) and just want to make sure I order the proper sized ones. (3 x 65/65mm, 2 x 80/80mm)......so that I can also order 80mm MAF Deletes and have everything line up.

    Hopefully this makes sense.
    Thakns in advance,
    Allan

I don't believe so. Zulu had Z32 MAFS and the piping was larger up until the y-pipe portion. When we were just getting the engine started for the first time I remeber we had to make the stock MAFs work with some "backyard engineering" to make them fit the larger piping.

I don't know the exact sizing but it is larger. But once it hits the y-pipe merge they are the same in either kit. If you're looking for the best flowing kit I would go with the Z32 one since larger piping can never hurt.

Z32 is 80mm and R32 is 70mm if I recall. Wingnut had went with Z32 MAFs/ filters and had to get some reducing couplings to get in the intake piping I think.

I guess my main concern are the 2 pipes coming off the turbos, going to the MAFs.....and if they are the same size in both kits.

One would think so, that they are sized for the Z32 MAFs and use a straight coupler, then a reducer for OEM MAFs.

I finally found a couple pics that might clear things up for me.....

If my eyes are not playing tricks on me, it looks as if the first pic uses REDUCERS (so, standard AFMs ?) and the second pic uses STRAIGHT Collars (so, Z32 MAFs ?)......

I also found specs on a UK reseller site, but I don't know how accurate they are, as Greddy doesn't offer ANYTHING on their website.....

I just want to order a 1ft chunk of 80mm pipe that I can cut in half and use for MAF eliminators (as my new filters are slide-ons, 80mm).....and 80mm collars of course, but easier said than done.

I installed the z32 kit on my car this summer, i still use the R32 stock MAFS. I made some adapter plates to fit the MAFS. the diameter is 80mm where they bolt to the MAFS
