My R32 GTR has no problem making power under 4 grand...and that's with just intake, turbo-back exhaust and 1 bar of boost. Don't know why your guys' cars don't... But the fact that it takes all the way to 40km for him to make power isn't right. It may be an issue with tranny but usually the problems with auto trannies as they age is they don't shift out of gear correctly/smoothly/on time/etc. He shouldn't notice it having "turtle acceleration" but more likely quick accel (due to it keeping it in a high gear for a longer period of time IF the tranny even has any problems) and difficulty with it shifting. Do you notice your RPM building slowly with the foot to the floor? In neutral (N), if you try and rev the engine, does it rev up like it should or no? I would check your MAF too and see if it is dirty. Also how many KM's does this car have?

I really hope you didn't buy a skyline to just "drive it"...doesn't work like that with these cars. You have to know at least a little about them man...not like they are a difficult car to understand and troubleshoot problems but you'll need to do some reading up on this car and it's engine. See where the common problems are and go from there.

RB20DET can get onto boost quickly and earlier when stock, which can make up for lack of torque down low. The higher piston speed due to shorter stroke helps (response), but sacrifices torque. F1 engines are similar with less torque due to shorter stroke.

At 1bar, R32 with stock RB20DET, basic breathing upgrades, ECU tune, fuel system is quicker than a lightly modified R35GTR on same course in Targa.

So... i figured it out. the front driveshaft has some plate attached to it and the plate was rubbing my wires and when i seen it there were 2 ripped apart and almost a 3rd it was hard to see it from the drive shaft covering the wires, so i stuck them back together and rigged the wires away from the shaft and got drive back and alot of accelleration. Makes a HUGE change in power. Thanks for all your help
