  • power steering pressure hose leak

    Greetings,

i have a small leak in on of the 2 pressure hoses (the one with the shorter metal pipe) that are connected to the power steering pump. at the Dealership they sell the intire systeme for 580$ +tx. i was wondering if it is possible to make a custom pipe ( can de metal pipe attached to the rubber hose be seperated??). as well on the other end of the rubber hose there is a small metal pipe attache can it as well be seperated??

    thank you for your help

Most hose shops can fix the fittings and hose up or solder new ends and install a new hose for a reasonable price, Ive seen 2 sections about a foot long with new ends on both be done for $90.
