I cant say i prefer royal purple over redline , i can say i prefer royal purple over what ever was in the car when i got it because it shifts noticably smoother and quieter .

I did chose royal purple over redline because i had heard rumours that redline products can damage the synchro rings ( i read somewhere ) . And couldn't confirm that this was correct or incorrect info.

And before you rush out and get a flask of liquid nitrogen please do some research on it , it's nasty stuff and deadly if your not careful. It's around -200 deg C and when it boils and vapourizes it displaces over 600 times its volume , that coupled with the fact it bonds to oxygen and makes it unavailable for you to breath means that if used in a confined space it can suffocate you and kill before you even realise it. Your body apparently does not alter its oxygen demand based on nitrogen levels so you wont feel anything - kinda like carbon monoxide poisoning.

When you put ANYTHING in it which is room temp it effectively makes it boil . I had a large space fan running with the workshop doors open .

Also if you get it on your skin from splashes , it's instant frostbite and skin/ flesh necrosis . Hence the rubber gloves and other coverage/glasses i was wearing .

I'm not trying to give a chemistry lesson here but after thinking about my post I would feel aweful if someone went out , got this stuff and ended up hurting themselves with it after my seemingly casual use of a very dangerous substance.
