Well that does look strange. Your recirc piping would be down behind the left front bumper. Above the brake cooling duct.
Down load a service manual, there are pics in there.

cause if it has the recirc **** in it wouldnt it only be venting like 1/4 the unused pressure and the rest would go through the recirc?

Oh sorry. Left side facing the car/drivers side.
I'm not sure how much of the gasses would be vented to atmosphere but hopefully the original owner tuned for atmospheric bovs.

Your "effed" when it comes to mechanical skills and bought a GTR??? Hope your rich then!
Too bad you didn't have more time. I'll be coming to SJ sometime soon but not before you leave. Better still it's too bad you didn't have time to come to Halifax!
Is your car running a stock ecu? If it is that would be a big part of the reason why it's running like poo.
The ecu is relies on having that air from the bovs being fed into the motor.
I would strongly suggest getting rid of that rats nest and putting it back to stock config. If you're not very experienced mechanically then the best thing for you to do is get that car as stock as possible to keep things a bit more simple.
I MIGHT be able to refer you to someone but I'd have to check with him first. It'll cost you some bucks but he's one of the smartest all around mechanics I know. He doesn't have much experience with our cars but it's amazing how quickly he figures things out.
              I'll let ya know!
