  • Changed oil, now my idle is higher.

I fixed it by adjusting it at the IACV(?). Before, cold idle was 1000rpm, after my oil change it was up to 1200. Oil is 0w30, I guess thinner = easier reving?

Either way, just thought I'd ask because it's interesting

Adjust via AACV (Auxilary Air Control Valve) or basically what controls idle rpm when engine is warm and what adjust's idle rpm to 1000rpm (ECU does it) when auxilaries like light's, aircon, etc are on.

1200rpm when cold is normal for factory engine.

IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) adds extra air (on top of what AACV does) to intake plenum when engine is running richer while warming up.

yeah i adjusted the IACV, the little screw thingy. Anyway, I just found it was interesting that with no other changes other than oil, the cold idle rpm jumped to 1200 from its usual 1000rpm.
