  • RB25 Injectors, rail and FPR questions

    Hey.

So not to long ago i posted up about how to get gtr injectors to work with my engine (rb25det)

Ive pretty much scrapped that whole idea and decided to find some 500cc or bigger side feed injectors to save some money on fuel rail conversion, and wiring in resistor and all that jazz.

But then as i was looking for side feed injectors i remembered that the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) is part of the fuel rail. I want to upgrade the FPR but i don't know if that is possible with stock rail. Is it? if so, how?

If that isn't possible, is it possible to get a replacement side feed fuel rail that allows me to run an external FPR?

I also see these kits on ebay for around 600 that are a complete conversion to change the rb25 from side feed to top feed. Comes with rail, all the needed hardware, comes with 550cc injectors and pigtails.

I am in the position to be making a decision/purchase very soon, But i want to know my options and which one is the best.

Converting to top mount is expensive. But it seems like the ideal and "clean" way to go about it

any info regarding this topic is greatly apprciated

    Thanks

    Nathan

Ok seriously if you want a decent kit here's what you do... Get ahold of Joe at power house and he can hook you up with everything. I will stand by what I'm about to say.... If you buy from eBay make sure it's oem, if you don't you be kicking yourself in the a$$! Trust me I have learned my lesson.

^Read what you just wrote you contradicted yourself

      ANYWAY
That auction is kind of sketchy. Its a bit too good to be true. Sard fpr+bosch inj are usually 750 on their own. I wouldn't.

Heres what you do, I wouldn't spend the time going top feed unless you have to

You can run aftermarket FPR on stock side feed rail with an adapter. It goes in place of your stock FPR, then you run a line from this adapter--->FPR-->hardline return Like so:

      Buy these:

      or these(scroll to S15 injectors):

There is so much **** on my car that isn't OEM nissan. It still runs fine. I would like to keep it side feed as well, but then the problem of the FPR came up.

When you buy new injectors do they come with pigtails?

I know those adapters exsist, but i can't find them anywhere. Do you got a link?

Nathan go with the deatchwerks they make life so much easyer. Plug and go! Also you can get an adaptor like Zacho showed you but doesnt have to be An fitting. Then you run maybe a foot at most of new fuel line and good to go. Thats is what I will be running, plus you can take out your stock one while you wait. Sand here up and paint it what ever color you like!

Sorry guys I fixed my idiocy. It sounded great but I obviously wrote something else. I have nothing but interior left from oem everything else has been modded.

And I say this because I want to warn you about shitty parts. I refer you to Joe at powerhouse because I was in the same position you were in and he helped me out tremendously in every way and made sure that I got what I needed. I can take pictures if the interest is there to show you. He gave me a 725 cc setup with fuel rail nd it's solid. If I find something more simplistic I'll let you know

Yeah i found an adapter, and onother adapter to change the an fitting to a nipple so i can clamp the fluel line onto it.

@supraclean. You know my name, now i need to know yours haha. Anyways, i was looking at those injectors and thats my biggest concern, is plugging and playing. Not saying i can't sodder some pig tails on, or do other minor work, its just i hate when i order parts, go to put it on an such and i need something else, then i gotta order that and wait.

@cschepp. Im not totally on such a baby budget anymore since i got paid a nice sum of money, but that doesn't mean i can go out spending a load. If i can stick with side feed to save some cash, thats money i can put into something else

By all means tho, If you can, Pm me what he did for you and roughly a price you think i could get it for

Im really considering all my options as of this point right now

The DW and s15 injectors use the factory clips.

Nathan we have Powerhouse Racing Rails, 750cc Injector Dynamics injectors and Aeromotive FPR's here in Lethbridge if your interested. This is a top feed setup that would work awesome with your car lots of options in the future

Your looking at around $1100 for that, I can throw in some earls lines/fittings for really cheap and help you install everything. Shouldn't take more than a couple hours R&R.
