  • Summit racing or ebay oil relocation kit?

Is there really a difference in quality between a Summit racing or greddy oil relocation kit ? as long as you use earls fitting and lines.

    not really.

Summit supplied fittings are good quality.

Just don't get ebay china fittings.

I was told that fitting a relocation kit can be very hard because of how tight the ''area'' is. Is there any tips or do I need to remove stuff in order to fit the relocation kit?

      I have a rb26 BTW..

DO NOT GET CHINA FITTINGS.. Ive been through this with the godspeed kit, the only piece of the kit i actually kept were the 2 relocation adapters which needed to be retapped, and the cooler which is an older model setrab. Buy lines and fittings from summit, they're all earls or russel fittings and are great quality.

A DIY cooler/relocation kit SHOULD only cost 200$ or less, including a thermostatic plate.

Dont kink your lines. My lines pulled when the lines got hot because they were pressed up against the frame rail. Faux pas; just avoid tight 90 degree kinks, and worst case scenario, buy different angled adapters.

All you need for a relocation kit is; adapter plate on block, 4 STRAIGHT AN fittings, 4 STRAIGHT AN adapters (the red blue guy), 10 feet of line in case, and a relocation adapter plate.

If you want to run a cooler, buy a mocal/setrab or summit sells some brand of cooler.. either way, just do it one shot, cost will only increase by 100/120$ for an 8-12 row

As a reference; my kit is composed of 8x straight AN adapters and fittings, 10 or so feet of line (maybe 7/8 feet used), 8x straight AN fittings, -10 into 3/4npt and -10 into -10 (damn you china!).. voila

The Trust kit uses Earl's fittings. The one posted in that link doesn't look like it includes lines at all.
Just go for the Summit or Trust, I can't repeat it enough times, for things like this stay away from the cheap eBay and Chinese stuff. You will just end up wasting your money. Do things right the first time!

Check out Mocal or Setrab and make your own, they are top notch cores. If you're really at the point where you need to nickle and dime, it means you're making enough power for your wallet. 350-400whp MAX would be my goal on a budget.

EDIT: here you so, these are cheap, the kit is cheaper than the Mocal cores alone lol.

Guys, I appreciate your info, but as of right now, I was / I'm just looking at the relocation kit not the oil cooler setup

Braden, this is tempting! I will PM you when I get times for more info!

Frank : I don't think the quality of the mishimoto kit is really different than the one from godspeed. So, I rather buy my own.

I use some mishimoto products and it's alright I think. My oil cooler was like $900 though lol gotta love HKS and they're prices

Whatever you spend, whatever happens, don't be disappointed if things don't go your way. Whether it's expensive on the wallet or cheap, if it fails, it fails.

Truth right there, our skylines are ment to be worked on. To keep use out of trouble when we fix them and hopefully not in to much trouble when there back out on the road:P
