lol, sorry about my ignorance, everyone is saying brake clean, but how do you actually go about washing it. do you put it on the grill, pour it through the pipes and then rinse it out with a pressure washer? mine was pretty littered with bugs from the drive from calgary to winnipeg so it might not hurt to give mine a good clean too!Originally posted by Paradis^^ hows not being rich going? ...haters be hatin

Polish??? Whaaa!
Paint it silver, that way by the time springs done and bugs have had their way with it, you can just spray paint back over them in situ. No cleaning, no problem! HahCheck out the GTST Projects page and keep up to date with my build!

The only way you will damage anything is if you don't let it dry/get all the brake cleaner cleaned out and you run it and it gets into your engine.
Make sure to keep washing it till you see clean water come out. Then let it air dry or use a heat gun if you have one. When you think its dry. get your air compressor and blow it all out till nothing but air is coming out/through
Hope this helps and answers your questionsigpic

metal to air contact is better than metal to enamel/acrylic to air.
This has been studied with various high temp paints/Rad paint and the works, and heat dissipation was the same over all conditions. Theres almost a negligible amount of paint being sprayed onto the fins/tube to affect heat transfer, also new paints like Duplicolor engine enamel offer heat dissipating properties. Not a clue what's in it, but if i can find the test they did (Think it was on evolution or NASIOC or something), they found 0 difference in all 3 conditions; painted, non painted and "Special" rad paint made to increase heat transfer to air..Check out the GTST Projects page and keep up to date with my build!
