  • rebuilding brake booster/master cyl.

has anyone ever attempted to rebuild either? i have both that are shot, wondering if its worth rebuilding or just throw it away.
any generic kits you can buy?
or just simply take it apart, clean, put back together?

I believe there are seal kits you can buy, just like for the calipers but its not very cost effective. I cant imagine the kits are cheap, just because there isn't much interest but i could very well be wrong!

I never knew repairing them was an option. I always just replaced them. ive gotten brand new Master Cylinders. As for a brake boosters i think a used one would be ok

You can rebuild brake master cylinder once (includes rehoning, etc), then has to be replaced. If you don't service brake fluid properly, brake master cylinder seals fail earlier and leaks onto brake booster.

Qualitee brand brake master cylinder for R32. I think Summit Racing Equipment sell Qualitee brand products. It's what I use on my car. Also reused factory cap. You can't tell it's aftermarket.

They sell Qualitee brand products, but can't find brake master cylinders -

Find Parts and Accessories quality KEYWORD and get Free Shipping on Orders Over $109 at Summit Racing!

I found out after trying both, that it cost's the same to replace brake master cylinder and was way better with braking performance. I think it's one of the reasons why my car brakes better (bigger piston???). Some factory brake master cylinders have bigger pistons which improves braking performance. I think R33 GTR, R34 GTR, R33 25T, R34GTT are good examples.

not worth the time, if you have a gtst go pick a new one up from lordco, 91 nissan pathfinder, bolts right up. Have it in my car, works great.
