hey so my problem is that i installed hids on my car and the bulbs where h1 so my old bulbs had the retaining clip where you squeeze from the sides and to get my hid bulb to stay in i had to fab up something. well Rush told me for his hids they have like the retaining clip from the high beams i think so is there a way to do that and if so does any one have the parts i would need to do that ??? any help is welcomed

ok so i just talked to rush and he said his is just held in by the retaining clip from the high beams so does anyone have the retaining clips from the high beams and do i need anything to make these work on the low beam like to attach it to the socket so it will hold the bulb in place?

there is a thread somewhere on the net, which explains how to install the hid bulbs into h1 housings via drilling into the hid bulb base i thought it was a pretty shitty method. r32 gtrs came with h3 intially then switched to h1 for non n1 housings. i myself have h1 and then this is what i used http://cgi.ebay.com/HID-Bulb-Adaptor...item53e5bb8b56. i think you will be much more happy with this method. clean and factory looking. tho it says they for Mbenz i took a chance and ordered. these are exactly what you need!

                      Is that for the lowbeams?

Any other modifications needed aside from that to get H1s to work in the low beams or do I still need to do some work on something else first?

Also, I don't know if it matters but will this work in a R32 GTST? Didn't notice if it was mentioned if the OP had a gtr or gtst

I followed this link and DIY'd the HID kit i bought. H1 is what I used and you shouldn't have any issues as long as you go step by step. This takes a long time but in the end its worth it. PS have a filer handy (rounded one) it makes your life easier when it comes to rounding off what you just drilled out (the bulb holder)

i did that with the holder and it is still little bit loose in the holder i think those adapters will work great

I hate to ask this and look retarded but before I go and do something stupid:

I'm going to need a HID kit with those adapters right? Wouldn't a HID kit for the R32 already have the adapter?

Or is it possible to just swap the OEM bulb holster thing with that and an HID bulb should fit right in? Or what wires will need to be replaced? I skimmed through that DIY thread mentioned earlier but I didn't notice anything mentioned about wires aside from that he bought a HID kit prior to this?

If a HID kit is necessary + the adapter can anyone point me to a decent kit? I have xenons in my highbeams atm so I figure I'll just go with that unless there is something in a better bang-for-buck area?
