  • Climate control swap?

So I've never owned a skyline that didn't have digi climate control until now. My question is can you swap from the semi-analog(still uses digital signal from sliders) to full digital with no issues?

Funny thing is that the one with the sliders is easier to use.. but I have a hankering to make the interior less peasant.

WOW!....interesting, that might be a retro fit from like a maxima or altima of the same year is my best guess,,, to my knowledge i don't think nissan ever offered that,,, i mean the digital control was standard wasn't it?

don't think so. Remember, this was originally an er32. Base as base gets. subframes and brakes have been swapped from s13 and r32.

I've had a 180sx before, and it's identical climate control. The type M stuff has DCC as well as the TypeX 180sx.

Meh, guess I'll leave it as is... on the bright side, I can have my defrost on without having it blast AC (although it helps, it's nice to be able to pick the temp and fan speed)

ive had several skylines with those old analog CC's. they wer all GTE skylines I converted with neo's and 5 lug ect. Some GTS-T non type M sedans came with them.

I personally hate the type M DCC. They just look crappy imo. The DCC from a 180SX is the nice looking one. You can swap a R32 DCC with a RPS13 DCC with no modifications at all.

To convert the Analog to DCC you need the harness with it along with the sensor up on the dash. I have a RPS13 DCC in my 88 silvia vert and it works great and really up-dates the interior. If you need a DCC from a 180 or R32 and a harness 4Xtoys has several.

The analog does work best tho I would have to agree. I hate that the A/C turns on.

The RPS13 DCC does look awesome. I thought you needed a myriad of sensors to do analog to digi swap on s13, and I also didn't know that the r32 and s13 were interchangeable.

If I don't need the sensors and only need the upper harness and s13 dcc module, could you shoot me a pm about price, trying to grab some low seat rails for recaros from you guys as well, so it'd be cool to ship together if I can make it happen.

                      thanks,

                      Kelly.
