  • OEM Relays w/ HID

I was wondering if its possible to use OEM Nissan Relays instead of an Aftermarket HID relay?. And if so, which relay too use?
I have a small box full of relays from a couple junked early 90s Nissans. I would like to use a Nissan relay instead of a easy Aftermarket relay.
    Thanks in advance!

brand new relays are cheap anyways, why use old and corroded wires?

Depends on the amperage. Nissan relays are 15 and 20 amp I think. But a relay is a relay other than that. I think the nissan relays for the headlights are a 20a and each side has its own circuit.

Thanks guys, I educated my self the other night on Auto relays in general. Learning what the elec symbols meant and how to wire the relay up.
Yeah, I wouldnt use old wiring. Im gonna wire, solder and heat shrink spade connectors to the relay pins of a 6 pin relay(2 circuit) or buy a 6 pin ISO relay connector from somewhere.
Im goin to pick up some digital slim HIDS from Vvme to replace my burnd out JZ Garage crap. Vvme have Hid relays too but they are not made by Nissan like mine will be.
