  • OS Giken direct shifter ????

I bought an Os Giken direct shifter from a local member here for less than the price of a nismo solid shifter but I'm wondering if it's the samething?

I actually bought it without being sure what it was LOL, I just know os giken do QUALITY stuff so this shifter must work perfectly fine but I'm not 100% what it is, more like a nismo solid shifter or a short shifter?

    Anyone know about this item?

I don't think OS Giken makes a shifter. I'd be willing to bet it's a C's short shifter. But who knows until you see what you get.

I think that is probably an older part out of production now. Looks pretty cool though!

So here's the picture.. but I have a problem.. I didn,t know there was no thread to screw the shifter knob on the shaft. you guys have an idea what can I do?

                1) ghetto style: put lots of 3m blue gum inside the knob and have it secured ( a bit like hot glue and a hockey shaft..)

                2) have 4 inch cut and reweld it with a threaded end so I can screw my knob inside ?

bring it to a shop, tell them to cut it and weld on the top half of your OEM stick... that way you know for the future any knob will fit.

I paid big bucks to have the V-SPEC R34 shifter to match my V-spec pedal and be a v-spec theme. so there's no way I will be shiftinh a cheap white looking plastic knob!

Pretty cool shifter kit. Looks almost like a std throw but a taller shifter. Let us know how she feels and if its a shorter throw
