  • Bad turbo seals? Smoke after spool..

Hey guys, so I have an issue. Anytime after acceleration once the engine is nice and warm, i blow a cloud of smoke. When I don't use turbo in a light acceleration, then nothing happens. I do leak coolant, and I'm thinking this could be my turbo seals? Any advice would be great, so what do you think it is?? Thanks for reading.

At first I thought it was white. But today it looked to have a blue tinge to it.

Yeah my turbo spools just fine. Still pulls hard. But today I noticed at higher revs it came out during acceleration aswell.

White = turbo oil seal failure on exhaust side

Blue = could be valve seals, rings, oilseal failure on compressor side (common failure with stock ballbearing turbo on GTS Skylines, but should hear a wailing sound and have oil deposits in bottom of intake piping after turbo).

burning doesnt mean its 100% the turbo could be a bunch of different things as "skym" mentioned above i would "if your not comfortable yourself" take it to a shop you trust and get them to do a compression test at the very least and check your valve seals. no sense replacing something as expensive as your turbo without making sure it isnt something else first. just sayin :P
