  • Proposal for new forum section

I'd like to propose to the forum admins and the GTRC community at large a new forum section for engine swaps. This section would cover swapping any motor (Nissan or otherwise) into any Skyline chassis. It could also be a resource for people swapping RB motors in cars other than Skylines. The intention is to provide a section where people doing swaps can ask specific technical questions, document tips and hints, collaborate on R&D, post their swap threads and pictures, etc.

Since this section would not be chassis-specific, I would think it should fall under "All Things Skyline"

    Thoughts?

This would be great! I love looking at not only unique builds but for the people that go out and put it together themselves. Also having a technical aspect on the swing of things would be very beneficial as I have used the tech section like 100 time in the last month and has helped me out tremendously! I vote yes.

        Good idea johnny!
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

I think a RB into whatever/ whatever into Skyline would be a wicked addition!

The next project I'd like to build (if I ever finish the GTR,lol) would to pull the slant 6 out of a old Dart or Scamp and drop in a '26. Slap on some widened stock steelies, complete with hubcaps and false 1-1/2" exhaust, then pick up groceries! Sleep, sleep, sleeper...

not to steel the thread but since admin will be looking at this, i made a suggestion a while ago to group individual people pms together somehow like they do on facebook. will make life ALOT easier expecially for those doing full parts outs etc. having dozens of pm's a day

Perhaps an admin can advise on whether this new section can be added to the forum? If you need a forum leader for it, I'm happy to volunteer.

mmmmmm.....such a great chassis for big power. The only other thing you need to do is upgrade the brakes. Best (and cost effective) solution is to use Boxster S rotors with Lexus LS430 calipers.
