  • Oil in BOV

Hey all, have been doing some searching and have a few possibilities here, but would like some more input. I have noticed one of my BOV's has a bit of oil in the exhaust trumpet, not a huge amount but noticeable. I have a 95 GTR with twin Blitz DD's, only one showing oil, running at 17 psi, no catch can yet. Car does not blow blue smoke.

From my research this can be the result of:
    1) Pooched oil seal on the turbo
    Or
    2) excessive oil blowby

As I am running higher than stock boost now with no catch can, I'm thinking (hoping) it is 2) and I need to get a catch can asap. Also, since only one bov is showing oil, the other is likely siezed and I have to refurbish it. Any one care to weigh in on this? Anyone experience the same issue?

    Thanks in advance!

My friends rb20 had a crapped out oil seal on his turbo which resulted in the same issue. (it was tested, fixed, and resolved)

      hope this helps?
