  • power fc not saving

Hey ive been googling like crazy to figure this out, but to be honest im a little overwhelmed with technical information.
I was hoping someone could point me in a right direction to either a simple solution or some things to start checking.

    This is whats happening.

I recently had an apexi pfc djetro installed on my r32 gtr. I bought it used, from an s13 that had a rb26 swap.
I also recently had it tuned (@ RG for you bc boys). The problem im encountering is the PFC wont save any of the
    settings/tune.

I know there's something to do with an eccs relay or something. My ecu is still easy reached being under the passenger
floor mat for the time being. there is in fact a relay that has been wired into the loom.

can anyone please give me something to work with here so i can get my tune saved and start ripping this gtr around!

    Thanks guys.

I have one to install myself and have done a ton of research into setting it up , tuning etc .

One thing i did see mentioned is that you have to factory reset/initialize it , even if its new out of the box because failiure to do this sometimes means it will not remember your settings.

I havn't experienced that yet , but know i have read it somewhere !

Yeah i imagine a factory reset would be required for initial startup. This ecu however, has been tuned in the past for another rb26. So in theory it should just accept another tune without question.

Im really thinking there is an error with wiring. I am going to try and diagnose the relay to check and see if the ecu is still being powered for the required 1~2 seconds after the car is shut down.

The pfc uses these last seconds of power to save any settings made, and from what i understand there is a relay that provides this short term power. Now i just need to figure out how to test that.
