DIY Paint Job

Anyone can do a pro job in their driveway, been there dne that. It's all in the prep and the final. You can have all kinds of garbage in the paint and it will come right out with the proper techniques.
A razor blade dragged across some 320 grit sandpaper will give it a nice hook-scraper to pull off runs, they peal right off. A little wet sanding with 1500 and a polish and you will never tell that you had a gobber of a run. Same goes for sand and dirt. A razor blade pushed like a planer will pick them right out and leave it flat again, hit it with the buffer and they are history.
A miles deep paint job is alot of work, even for the pros, that's why they cost so much, it's all about the time. Do alot of research and prepare to spend about $1500 on supplies (2 stage paint, thinner, catalist, tape, sandpaper, 3 polishing compounds, (a cheap HVLP, compressor not included), air filters, masks, some cheap longboards.......there is more, like I said, do lots of reading first). The other thing is time, at least 100 hours for prep, paint and final if you only have a little bit of prep to do with no rust repair.
Jon.Why don't you come over to MySpace and Twitter my Yahoo untill I Google all over your Facebook.
