i have just recently purchased a cheap gts for my winter beater, i then noticed its 4 bolt. i thought this was very weird, my gtr is 5 and i thought that all skylines were 5 bolt. im wondering if they have been changed to 240sx hubs? and why if thats the case.

It was a GTS with an RB20de N/A motor. YES they did build non turbo skylines, I know, I owned one. They came with 4 bolt hubs and shitty ass small brakes. I quickly swapped a rb20det into mine and ran like that for 2 years before I sold it. It doesn't happen to be a silver 89 is it? Might be my old car, lol.

MKIV, there's a standard R32 GTS-T and then there's R32 GTS-T Type-M that had GTR style steering wheel with S logo on horn, 300ZX size brake rotors, calipers, updated shocks, HICAS, viscous LSD, GTR style wheels. With non turbo GTS there's the Type-S with GTR steering wheel, viscous LSD?, etc.
All 3 are shown in this R32 catalogue -
