  • R32 Part Weights Database

Ever since I started "adding lightness" to my car, I've been weighing parts individually (when possible) as they come off the car. All weights are believed to be accurate, and were taken using a bathroom scale using the "weigh yourself, then hold the part and weigh yourself again" method. Everything was checked three times to ensure the scale read accurately every time. All parts are from an R32 gtst type M. All weights are in pounds. For lighter parts, I simply grouped parts together.

If you've weighed any of these parts and had different numbers show up, let me know so that I can weigh parts again if necessary.

I figure this might help some people out who are interested in removing parts from their car to "add lightness". If you have any part weights feel free to add them to the thread or PM me and I'll add them to this main post. Hopefully someone finds this useful!

Great, I have shaved off over 100 pounds in just this list. This doesn't include any of my other weight reduction parts. I want to get my car weighed once I'm finished

Weight reduction gets a little bit addictive and turns into a bit of a game almost, trying to find more ways to reduce weight

I didn't even really mean to do it. Alot of the performance parts that I have added on have saved me tons of weight! And then I got rid of stupid things like ps, ac, hicas system, and alot of other things. I wouldn't doubt I have shaved 300 pounds off the car
