anyone tell me if this would bolt up to the stock floor on the r32 gtr??

    thanks

No, it's not a bolt on bolt off bolt on operation.

      So what would I need?
Just remove mountings on the oem seats and swap them into the recaros? Or am I looking at completely new rails/runners attached to the recaros?

If you take a look at the oem seat you will see that the tilt and angle adjustment mechanism is part of the rail frame. I would just detach the Recaros from the MR2 rails and get some used Skyline rails. If you keep the oem seats intact you can sell them for more, if you butcher them you have junk cushions.

so what your saying there is i can remove the rails from oem seats and attach them to the recaros? no other modding?
(can you remove the tilt/angle adjustment on the oem rails, as i obviously wouldnt need them as recaro have there own).

          cheers

I think you'll have to find some skyline specific rails/sliders (Ie. Recaro or Bride) that first match up with the car. Then match with your seat.

You didn't look at the oem seats. If you want to remove the tilt/angle adjuster you'll have to use an angle grinder with a cut-off disc to chop it off, then you have to figure out how to mate the Recaro to the butchered oem rails. Can you weld? See Micho's reply.

dont mod it. buy. no offense but i dont think you know what your doing and isnt worth ruining any stock seats.

Even if you know what you are doing it's not worth the trouble unless you have some really dumb friends in metal work and will do the conversion for a case of beer.

look over at driftwork.com. They have some ''universal'' rail for nissan to fit
                    your seat.

                      /\
Thanks, sort of answer I was looking for.

I don't own a GTR yet. Still being hunted out in japan. So checking the oem rail is a bit difficult, (impossible), hense my questions, lol.

Not sure what 'don't know what your doing' has got to do with anything. I never implied I was going to cut/weld, simply wanted to know if it would bolt on.

Have anyone pictures of oem rails? Or recaro r32gtr rails?

Still I should be able to sell the mr2/recaro rails for a good price to cover it.

                      Cheers

oem "rails" really arent rails. they are built into the seat. the only thing you can do is use the mounting points on them to build your own. i have personally did this for my passenger seat but takes alot of cutting and welding to mod it. you HAVE to use a/m rails. but can weld whatever mounts you want to them

IF you want i have genuine bride mounts that you would just need to weld to your current rails. or if you wanted you could send em here and i could do it for you. ive done it like 5 times now. only thing is shipping is a bitch overseas and barely worth it.

but answer your question more proper. nothing is bolt on unless you buy bride, recaro rails meant for the driver side of a skyline r32.

these are my recaro's. left one has a bride mount that i purchased. right one has bride rails from a fd rx7 and i welded skyline mounts on them.

Well I've managed to source a pair, pair of cloth recaro speeds were on them, so know should be a fairly simple install
