  • Rb20/25 : Bellmouth or divided dump pipe? Mine's ecu?

I'm wondering if a bellmouth is better for the flow on a internal wastegate turbo?

I would also like to know if the Mine's, blitz, etc retuned oem ecu's can be retuned?

    Thanks!

A aftermarket dump pipe is used to remove the built up pressure behind turbo. Stock or split pipe dump pipe are restrictive due to pipe diameter, shape near back of turbo. Bellmouth is open, and of decent diameter so exhaust gas has no restriction and get quicker turbo spool, increase in boost level (around 0.08bar), increase in hp throughout powerband (with a ECU tune).

Fit Nistune to stock R32 ECU. It allows stock ECU to be reflashed / retuned by grey looking consult plug under dash (next too fuses) on drivers side of car.

Would you suggest anything for the dump pipe?

And for the ECU I was asking because last summer I found a nice Mine's under my passenger kick panel! I'm wondering if I have to buy a stock unit to nistune it

        HPI bellmouth dump pipe -

Diameter, cost of HPI bellmouth dump pipe -

Not cheap, but does the job. There are combined dump / frontpipes available from Australia, but they don't sell to oversea's customers.

You'll need another stock ECU to fit Nistune (they usually put glue over top of EPROM chip inside Mines ECU). With Nistune you could download the Mines ECU tune (if they haven't software locked the tune), copy to Nistune board. But probably easier for tuner to start with stock ECU tune.
