  • what would be the best way...

what would be the best configuration for a killswitch install?

i was thinking about putting a hidden switch in my car that is in series with the ignition power line, supposing the switch is in the off position, would the car be able to start? basically i think this would be better than an alarm as if a person cannot find the switch, they are **** out of luck, thoughts?

If the switch is off when connected to the ignition the car cannot run. Needs air/fuel/spark so with the ignition eliminated there's no spark. Someone would still be able to jump the starter but unless they bypassed the kill switch the car wont be able to fire.

Battery kill switch is prob your best bet, as long as your ok with your radio stations being reset lol
Quick release steering wheel and hub lock is another option
My steering wheel comes with me whenever I leave the car, cheap peace of mind

Put a switch to the pump. They won't be going anywhere. Also like they said a quick release to keep them from just driving off but also get a hub lock so they can't just throw they're own wheel on and go.
Miss driving sooooo bad! Need to get a car on the road ASAP!

Which hub are you using? i was looking at the works bell ones but at ~$400 i was thinking a killswitch would be a bit cheaper

I have the NRG quick release. Great bang for your buck and they have a hub lock too
Short hub adaptor, quick release and lock

And also trust me the works bell is expensive but is it ever worth it.

Heard good things about the works bell, you always get what you pay for
As for my NRG, had it two years with no issues, works flawless and very simple. I have the original quick release, have never seen or used the newer smaller version

i think i'm gonna do this, perhaps set something up with a relay and a neodymium magnet on the keychain

they are very strong magnets, generally found in hard drives, translation: i could install a magnetic switch anywhere in the car to activate the relay that enables the fuel pump without anyone being the wiser, if i do it, i will be sure to do a writeup
