  • Seafoaming the Skyline?

I'd like to Seafoam the GTR, but I'm worried that it could potentially be harmful to the turbo system. Also, which vacuum line would you put it into to clean out the engine?

Frankie's done it once or twice if I'm not mistaken, and I don't think he's had any issues. He's the best one to ask in regards to this

Depends on the condition of the engine really. If it's old, there's most likely gunk keeping seals from leaking and once you use that stuff, the leaks may start. I've used injector cleaner on old injectors and they started leaking. Found out that the fuel gunk over the years was plugging the tiny leaks holes till I washed it out.

If your engine is new, yeah I guess it'd be ok but most likely your engine will be fairly clean till it fails for other reasons.

I did it to mine, seemed to help smooth things out a little bit, I just used the vacuum line off the brake booster.

            Used this with no issues.

Smooths put idle, improves fuel econ, and just feels better after.

I recommend a spark plug change after use.

I've done it too, didn't seem to have any adverse effect on the motor but it didn't seem like it did anything to my rb either, my vg30 however got a lot smoother after sea foaming it

both times I used the brake booster hose going into the manifold

I've used it before on my 6g72 mill - 1/3 in the gas a 1/3 in the oil and the rest in the intake - worked good , be prepard to deal with clouds of smoke out of the exhaust , drain the oil and change it after about 100klm .

I bought two cans yesterday and I'll give it a try. The car is running a little bit rough and the sea foam should help it out. I just gotta get the alternator fixed first
