  • brake Squeaking

Hey I got my brakes done 100 km ago

AMS slotted rotors with carbon ceramic pads

AMS is Canada's premier tuner and parts developer/provider for Nissan Z vehicles (300ZX, 350Z, 370Z), Infiniti G vehicles (G35, G37), and the Skyline GTR (R32, R33, R34, and R35 GT-R). AMS also specializes in performance tuning and OEM servicing of all Nissan and Infiniti brand vehicles.

I have had no problems with them until this

I was parked by a big evergreen today and it took a sap dump on my car this afternoon

And when i went to drive it this evening one rotor was squeaking really bad to the point where it was embarrassing

I got a shop to install the rotors, because I wanted to pass inspection quickly.

Is there any way I could make the brake quieter, I was thinking about using brake cleaner on the one noisy rotor

Not sure how well brake cleaner will remove the sap, that stuff is nasty, and very bad for the paint, there are some home remedies online that work well, my uncle parked his 52 Chevy under a big tree for 6 months, was covered in sap, I think he used 7up, lol. I've used 7up for removing road tar, worked great.

Methyl hydrate but be gentle. Might need a light hand polish to the area after application

With sap, Meguiars bug and tar remover -

Wax afterwards, as bug and tar remover takes the wax off.

Check brake hoses if more than 4 years old, check for leaking brake caliper. I found on my car that it's usually brake hose (if not leaking on caliper side, its probably failed internally) or light rust gets on rotors due to wet weather.

Can buy anti squeal liners that you put on back of brake pad backing plates if happens under light braking -

Also bedding in brakes properly helps.
