Anyone using one on their car? How do you like it compared to others?

I did do a search but couldn't find anything on the topic... Thanks.

The hks ssqv bov's have removable inserts that make a whistle sound if you dont like you could always just take it out. I had one on my car and personally i liked the sound of it. Personal preference tho.
I canz take this corner at 195k cause i gots AWDZ. Get real.

yes you can change the inserts on them. the one that comes with it sounds the best imo.

the gold one is just a louder version of the stock insert. i tried the purple one as its supposed to be more of a woosh sound. didnt care for it at all. some guys run no insert. never tried it

I currently vent to atmosphere using a greddy rs bov

Never had a problem. Tho when I go to install the hks ill be doing the setup a bit differently but still will vent atmosphere.

If have MAF it's better to recirculate BOV, as keeps turbo at higher rpm thus get better transient response when get back on throttle and no reversion. Reversion is air reversing direction when turbo slows down that affect's MAF (MAF can make ECU select rich cell on fuelmap and engine stalls).

I prefer the Synapse BOV, as it vents just under 0 on boost gauge (off boost) and when get back on throttle, car is instantly up to speed with other cars, like there's no lag (no bogging feeling).

Interesting test where the quicker reacting Synapse BOV takes all the air away from the Greedy BOV -

Our intern, Eric is explaining the differences in functionality between the Synapse BOV and a Greddy type RS. First we demonstrate that the Greddy valve work...

I've been in a R32 GTS-T that had a Greedy BOV, but it wasn't as good as the Synapse BOV on my car. My car feels like it has better pickup at lower rpm.

Also it's interesting how much a stock BOV leaks -

obviously it can hold around 20-21 psi but as you can see there is a lot of leaking going on at this PSI

I had the SSQV on the GTR, worked great and no stalling. Looks like it has the purple insert but it is kind of the higher pitched whistle/chirp sound, just like R33_gtst's car above.
Personally never liked the sound of them but thats just me. Therefore kit is for sale (cheap plug for my FS ad).
