  • R32 20DET missing and stalling

I have a skyline r32 20det that's run awesome for the 8months I have owned it, but the last few days it has started missing and stalling, will be driving and acceleration cuts out for a few seconds then put foot back down and comes back, or like today for the first time won't come back and stalls, or stalls randomly at lights and has trouble starting again sometimes, seems like it's doing it more and don't like driving knowing I could break down at traffic lights if it decides to stall and not want to restart ...

anyone had this prob? needa sort it asap, may be an issue with crank angle sensor, air flow meter, coils or something?

    Any help and opinions appreciated!

Check stock ECU for error codes. Could be CAS, TPS, MAF, etc.

I'm having the same problem...sounds like a small miss idols okayish while not driving..and just hesitates and loses power while driving or stalls. How many km on your coilpacks and wires? I've checked and cleaned my maf along with replacing the plugs and some hoses thatvwere cracked. Car still runs like **** lol, next is tps but i believe the coilpackbwires are grounding out and leaking spark, therefore causing a miss in a cylinder
Anyhow if anyone else has suggestions i'd love to know before i spend a ton of money on stuff

Try bypassing the factory fuel pump relay, I've fixed this issue on two R32's and my own by doing the fuel pump rewire mod. Worth a try and will cost you a $5 relay, some wire, a fuse, and about half a dozen beers.

Your alternator could be on its way out, get a multimeter and put it on the battery and rev the engine if the volts go up its working should be 13-15v while running
