  • LMGT4s dont fit r32 GTr ?!?!?!

I purchased a set of Lmgt4s off someone locally and didn't bother test fitting the wheels assuming they would fit no problem. A couple days ago i tried to mount them but they wouldn't fit snug and it appears that the wheels wont fit on my hubs. I have old school stern wheels on now and you can visibly tell they have bigger holes. Do you think my hubs have been changed to accommodate the old sterns? should i change out the hubs or bore out the wheels?

    Thanks,

    Neil

Why exactly won't they fit? Is it because the wheel studs are too large in diameter to go through the holes of the wheels?

Center bore for the Skyline should be 66mm, go measure the wheels and the hub and tell us what is not right.

Is the little ring still on the hub, centering ring or whatever, first got my gtr and changed the rotors, couldn't get my wheels back on, I was stumped, guy at the shop I go to asked me about the ring, I felt like an idiot, mostly cause I didn't look at it close. they had a good laugh

on some wheels that have larger bore then the car it is necessary to use a Hub Centric ring, and if you dont take it off the wheels that have the stock bore will not fit!

+1, sounds like you have the centric ring still attached to the hub.

Pretty sure I can see them in the pic, they look metal instead of plastic, I'd say try heating them up and prying them out

Looks like your hub rings from your other set of wheels are stuck. Spray the ring with WD40 (or equivalent) and let the ring soak first. You can try loosen the ring by rotating it using a plumber wrench, don't use too much force or you might crush the ring. Another method is to use a punch and drive it loose with a hammer, worst case is to cut the ring off with a saw. What I've done is I used the plumber wrench and wiggled the ring out just enough so I can put a old chisel behind and pry the ring out.

Most centric rings are aluminum so dissimilar metal corrosion starts. If you want to use your old wheels still, buy a new set of centric rings... If you get them off I doubt you will be able to reuse.

Just heat up with a heat gun or torch, and pry off with a common screwdriver and hammer!
